drumMUSTER collection at Deloraine

drumMUSTER is the national program for the collection and recycling of empty, cleaned, non returnable crop production and on-farm animal health chemical containers.

drumMUSTER collections provide chemical users an organised system for disposing of clean used drums. Removing them from the waste stream into the recycling stream.

Until January 2003 only hazardous chemical drums with a drumMUSTER sticker have been accepted. Now we can also accept non - hazardous chemical containers that may not yet have the drumMuster sticker, such as surfactants, dairy chemicals and liquid fertilizers. Petroleum and liquid chlorine containers not accepted.

The National Farmers' Federation (NFF), The National Association for Crop Production and Animal Health (Avcare), The Veterinary Manufacturers and Distributors Association (VMDA) and the Australian Local Government Association (ALGA) have together developed the initiative as the solution to the safe collection and recycling of cleaned chemical containers.

drumMUSTER is hosted at the Deloraine Landfill and Recycling Site on the first Monday of every month. Please contact us for an appointment or further information.
